Revolax Deep, Restylane Lyft, Radiesse and Sculptra: A Practitioner Comparison
· City Aesthetics
This practitioner-facing guide compares the documented materials and formulations of four products available at City Aesthetics. It is a product reference, not an injection protocol or patient-specific treatment recommendation.
At a glance: different materials, different formulations
| Product | Material | Formulation distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Revolax Deep + lido | Cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) | An HA gel described by the brand for volumising correction. |
| Restylane Lyft + Lidocaine | Stabilised HA of non-animal origin | Part of Galderma's NASHA lidocaine range; its IFU lists 20 mg/mL HA and 0.3% lidocaine. |
| Radiesse + Lidocaine | Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) | CaHA microspheres suspended in a gel carrier containing 0.3% lidocaine. |
| Sculptra 5ml | Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) | A dry-powder formulation requiring reconstitution, rather than a ready-to-use HA gel. |
Revolax Deep + lido (1.1 ml)
The REVOLAX brand describes Deep as a cross-linked hyaluronic acid formulation with medium-to-high viscosity, intended for more defined volumising corrections. This identifies it as an HA-based option, distinct in material from CaHA and PLLA products. Follow the instructions supplied with the product for its applicable indications and precautions.
Restylane Lyft + Lidocaine
Galderma's instructions describe a sterile, transparent, biodegradable gel of stabilised hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin, with 20 mg/mL HA and 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride. Galderma includes Lyft in its NASHA lidocaine range. Although both Lyft and Revolax Deep are HA products, sharing a material category does not establish equivalent performance or interchangeability.

Radiesse + Lidocaine (1 x 1.5ml)
The manufacturer's instructions identify synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite as the principal component, suspended in a carrier containing glycerin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sterile water and 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride. Manufacturer information describes immediate volume correction alongside collagen and elastin stimulation over time. It is therefore a different material category from the two HA gels above.
Sculptra 5ml
Galderma's instructions identify Sculptra as a PLLA formulation supplied as dry powder for reconstitution. The documented vial composition includes PLLA, sodium carboxymethylcellulose and mannitol. Unlike the three lidocaine-labelled products above, lidocaine is not listed in the dry-powder composition; the IFU describes its optional addition during preparation. The store listing name “5ml” is not a reconstitution instruction. Use the applicable manufacturer IFU for preparation requirements.
How to use this comparison
Start with the material and supplied formulation, then consult the current instructions accompanying the specific product for indications, contraindications, warnings and preparation requirements. This guide deliberately avoids ranking products by stiffness, treatment longevity or preferred injection site: those claims require product-specific evidence and must not be inferred from material alone. Manufacturer documents can differ by market and version.
Final treatment selection belongs to qualified clinicians following individual patient assessment and the applicable product instructions.
